PotsyPrivacy Policy
Potsy is a plant care reminder app. This page explains what the app does with your information. The short version: we do not collect it.
What stays with you
- Your plants, rooms, notes and photos are stored on your device and, if you are signed in to iCloud, synced through your own private iCloud (Apple CloudKit private database). The developer cannot see or access this data.
- Plant photos you add to a plant journal are stored the same way.
- Snap to suggest uses the camera only when you tap it. The photo is analyzed on your iPhone with Apple's Vision framework and is not uploaded to us or anyone else.
- Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push server of ours is involved.
What we do not do
- No account or sign-up.
- No third-party analytics or tracking.
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- We do not sell or share personal data.
Purchases
Potsy Plus is bought through Apple's App Store. Payment is handled by Apple, and we never receive your payment details.
Permissions
- Camera: only for Snap to suggest and for taking plant photos.
- Notifications: for your care reminders.
- Photos: only the pictures you choose to add to a plant.
Deleting your data
Delete a plant in the app to remove its notes and photos. Deleting the app removes the data on that device. Data kept in your iCloud can be removed in iPhone Settings, Apple Account, iCloud, Manage Account Storage.
Children
Potsy is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone.
